Hyderabad Tax Dept. launches 24x7 Election control room to curb cash, jewellery misuse

HYDERABAD: In preparation for the Lok Sabha General Elections, 2024, the Ministry of Finance's Income Tax Department in Hyderabad has established a dedicated 24x7 Control Room to monitor and curb the misuse of cash and jewellery during the electoral process.
The control room will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24x7). Citizens can provide information regarding cash or jewellery being stored, transported, or distributed for election purposes.
This initiative will assist the Income Tax Department in monitoring and curbing the misuse of black money in the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections.
