It's political laundering case; will come out unscathed, says BRS MLC Kavitha

NEW DELHI: Bharat Rashtra Samithi ((BRS) MLA Kalvakuntla Kavitha has said that she will come out unscathed in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.

Whie being taken into the court, Kavitha said at Rouse Avenue Court dealing with the Directorate of Enforcement's (ED) case on Delhi Liquor Police case, she said on Tuesday that it was not a money laundering case, but a political laundering case.

Kavitha's ED custody ended today and was being produced in the court.

"I Will come out of this case unscathed like a purified pearl. This is not a money laundering case. This is political laundering case. Temporarily they may have jailed me. An accused had already joined the BJP. and another accused was given the BJP ticket. Another accused paid Rs. 50 crore to the #BJP through electoral bonds. I shall come out clean. There is no question of me turning into an approver," she shouted.

She reiterated that she would come out unscathed. It may be recalled that Kavitha was arrested by the ED at here Hyderabad residence on March 15. SHe was produced in the Rouse Avenu Court on March 16 and was given to the ED custody for questioning. She had protested in the court three days ago that she was being asked the same thing again and again. The questions posed to her a year agi were being asked agin, She dubbed her arrest as politically-motivated.

Kavitha was arrested triggering a row of protests from the BRS cadres across Telangana. The ED described her as the kingpin in the case and charged her with brining the Delhi Government and AAP leaders.
