KARIMNAGAR: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao, on Sunday said that only the BRS could safeguard Telangana from potential injustices related to the common capital, union territory status, and delimitation attempts by the Centre.

Addressing the BRS booth committee meeting in Vemulawada, KTR slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for disrespecting Telangana's formation and deceiving its people over the past decade. He accused both Narendra Modi and Revanth Reddy of coming to power through deceit in 2014 and 2023, respectively.

KTR highlighted the collusion between the Congress and BJP, citing the fielding of a dummy candidate in Karimnagar as evidence of match-fixing. He rebuffed Bandi Sanjay's claims of introducing Rama and God, asserting that Lord Ram transcends political affiliations.

Regarding electoral promises, KTR criticised both Modi and Revanth Reddy for their unfulfilled promises, including the failure to reduce fuel prices despite a decline in crude oil costs. He expressed confidence in Vinod Kumar winning the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat and stressed the importance of BRS representation in Parliament to safeguard Telangana's interests.

KTR challenged Bandi Sanjay's leadership, questioning his track record and urging him to justify his candidacy to voters. KTR stressed the need for BRS MPs to advocate for Telangana's rights and hold the Centre accountable for its policies.

KTR expressed doubts about whether Revanth Reddy was working for Modi or Rahul Gandhi, noting that while leaders like former Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, all of whom have questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were targeted, no cases were filed against Revanth Reddy.
