Jagan hopes YSR Congress to win 175 Assembly, 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh
Jagan addresses "Memantha Siddham" meeting at Tekkali in Srikakulam district.
TEKKALI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed confidence that his party would win all 200 seats in the upcoming simultaneous elections for the State Assembly and Lok Sabha.
During a public meeting titled "Memantha Siddham" held at Tekkali in Srikakulam district on Wednesday, Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that there is a wave of popular support for the YSRCP across Andhra Pradesh. "It's clear that the YSRCP will win all 175 MLA seats and 25 MP seats in the upcoming elections. Are you all ready to give the YSRCP 200 out of 200 seats?" he asked, receiving a loud cheer from thousands of supporters.
Referring to Tekkali in Srikakulam district as "revolutionary land," Jagan Mohan Reddy praised the massive turnout and noted that the local supporters are prepared to fight against capitalist interests. He also emphasised that the forthcoming elections are not merely about electing MLAs and MPs but about continuing the various welfare reforms implemented by the YSRCP government.
"The upcoming 'Kurukshetra' election battle isn't just about electing legislators," he said, "it's about securing the continuity of welfare schemes. Voting for Jagan ensures the continuation of all these programs, while voting for Chandrababu means putting an end to them. Are you ready to teach a lesson to the alliance parties that have neglected the poor?"
Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted the government's achievements, including newly renovated hospitals offering quality health services, a volunteer system providing civic services at citizens' doorsteps, and upgraded government schools ensuring quality education. He mentioned that 15,002 village and ward secretariats now offer local services. He added, "We have ensured justice for all communities. My brothers and sisters are all ready with 1.35 lakh jobs. With Grama Swaraj and door-to-door delivery of civic services, we are ready! We deliver the Rs 3,000 monthly pension to beneficiaries' doorsteps on the first of every month. This readiness is the new courage that drives us to seek votes only if the household has benefited from YSRCP's governance."
He pointed out that the YSRCP has fulfilled 99% of the promises made in the 2019 election manifesto, while the opposition parties have formed alliances without demonstrating tangible achievements. "Elections are just 18 days away, and we've kept our promises. Meanwhile, Chandrababu and his allies didn't do even one good thing - they just throw mud at me."
"Do you want a cheater like Babu or an honest person like Jagan?" he asked. "When you hear Chandrababu's name, can you imagine a single positive accomplishment? He made numerous fake promises in 2014, like farm loan waivers, Rs 10,000 crore for BC sub-plans, and jobs for every household, but he didn't keep any of them."
Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised Chandrababu Naidu's recent alliances, calling them deceptive and aimed at plundering state resources. He asked the crowd, "Are you all ready to protect the state from these cheaters?"
The Chief Minister has travelled 2100 km spreading over 86 assembly constituencies in 22 days as part of his Memantha Siddham Yatra. After starting his yatra at Idupulapaya, he attended 16 public meetings (including today’s meeting) and six special interactions like meeting with old-age pensioners, weaver communities, Vahana Mitra beneficiaries, and social media workers among others. He also participated in huge road shows at nine places.
The YSRCP, Jagan Mohan Reddy explained, did not become ready through mere public meetings over the last three months; instead, it has demonstrated revolutionary governance for the past 58 months.
