FTCCI beckons Thailand furniture industry to Telangana
Thailand firms are evincing keen interest to invest in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), on behalf of the Telangana government, has pitched to the furniture industry of Thailand to set up manufacturing units in Telangana either directly or through Joint ventures. A trade delegation of FTCCI, is currently on a visit to Thailand, is showcasing the business prospects available in Telangana.
Thailand firms are evincing keen interest to invest in Telangana, in view of the progressive business environment being promoted in the state by its proactive government.
A 30-member trade delegation led by FTCCI is visiting Thailand at the invitation of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Foreign Trade and Investment, Board of Trade of Thailand. The visit aims to exchange and explore trade and investment opportunities in Thailand and to share details of opportunities in the state of Telangana.
FTCCI also signed an MoU with the Thai Chamber of commerce on Thursday.The MoU was exchanged between Phairush Burapachaisri, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Anil Agarwal President FTCCI in the presence of Supawadee Yamgamol, Director of Overseas Market Development Nitirooge Phoneprasert, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Agarwal, President of FTCCI said, "As we all are recovering from the pandemic effect, this MoU will play a pivotal role in our trade relations and bring a new change. This Change offers unprecedented opportunities for fresh thinking in business. Change is the fuel that entrepreneurial companies need this time."
Phairush Burapachaisri, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce said: "We are confident that this understanding will pave the way for many more investment opportunities in both regions." During the agreement, it was also evident that Thai trade sector was keen to explore investment prospects in agri, canned food, food processing, dairy, meat processing and furniture sectors in Telangana.
