All set for KCR's national party on Dussehra day: Law of attraction at work
Launch of the national party would be announced at 1.19 pm on Vijaya Dasami day
HYDERABAD: It's the courage of conviction and self-confidence that have been driving K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) for years.
"No successful person has ever known how his or her dream would happen. They simply believed that it would happen, and did not give up until it had."
'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne seems as if it has talked about KCR. No exaggeration, this. For, what has manifested in KCR's political journey is exactly what he has visualised and desired, at least, so far.
We can't say KCR believes in the pseudoscientific law of attraction, for he has experience, knowledge, basis for what he talks and a huge popular support in his home turf.
"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." This is according to Bible's Mathew 21:22.
Does KCR believe in Bible? This becomes a silly question, as the man believes in himself and is god-fearing and respects all religions, as a practicing Hindu.
Theories apart, the man is extremely practical and has his ears rooted to the ground. He has been mulling the idea of making forays into the national political arena since 2017. He has made several overtures. Cobbling up a Federal Front with like-minded parties was one such attempt. He aborted it, for he weighed all the pros and cons involved in the adventure. KCR never does a misadventure. His moves are highly calculative and precise. They may wear the veil of a clueless blind shots, but surely KCR is clearheaded.
He's never worried about political humiliation. He has faced it umpteen times in his journey to success. He doesn't factor in insult as an impediment in his way to achieving a larger goal. The whole country witnessed it during the Telangana agitation and also after his desire manifested into a reality.
Now, it's his own national party. Is it Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi or Bharat Rashtra Samithi or one of those dozens of other names? The step one Is picking a name and announcing the same. Simultaneously, register the same with the Election Commission of India.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ceases to exist, according to KCR himself. The extended executive meeting of the TRS held on Sunday arrived at this conclusion. The party would retain its symbol, car, and its colour theme of pink and apply for a name change which may not be a big challenge.
The 283 executive members and office-bearers and elected representatives of the party would adopt a resolution to this effect on Vijaya Dasami Day, Wednesday, October 5. The launch of the national party would be announced at 1.19 pm on that day. KCR wanted all his colleagues to be present on the occasion.
The party would contest Munugode by-election with new name. A firm believer in astrology and star power, KCR has asserted that everything will be good for the new party.
TRS, in its new avatar, will pursue a national agenda. To reinforce the trust among people, the party flag will replace the Telangana map with India map.
KCR has already charted out his national priorities on what subjects should be left to the States, what should be dealt with by the Centre, how to levitate the nation to the next level and he wants to showcase the success of Telangana as the role model for India. He has been chanting the mantra of development and augmenting the available resources to the best of our abilities. He's talking a new language of scientific temper and technological revolution, leaving the subject of reservations, education, and the likes to the local governments in the respective States. Without pompously announcing, he has already released a charter of his agenda.
KCR is not afraid of failure. He firmly believes in the King Bruce's maxim: "Try and try again, boys, you will win at last."
KCR, who called for the 283-member executive meet on Wednesday, also invited former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and a few other parties from Tamil Nadu and other states. He invited farmer leaders to actively involve in the exercise.
KCR would appoint coordinators or convenors in different states and embark on a nationwide tour. He announced that the party had purchased a private jet for this purpose.
As if to boost the confidence of his party leaders and cadre, he said that people were vexed with the misrule of the BJP; and the Congress failed as a main opposition. So, the people are "looking at us."
One must bear in mind that KCR is a highly focused man when it comes to goal setting and achieving the same. Enormous patience is his biggest strength. If Dame Luck doesn't smile on him at first, he will pursue it till the 'Dame' is tamed to toe his line. Telangana is just an example.
