ADONI: TDP national president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has once again flayed the YSRCP government headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy alleging that the latter had failed in all the aspects, be it in development of the state, welfare of the poor or maintaining law and order in the state. Speaking at a roadshow held at Adoni in Kurnool district on Thursday, Naidu reiterated that the government was collecting taxes on everything including garbage and increasing the duty on sand and liquor, making it hard for people to survive.

The former chief minister said that the people, who were swayed into voting for YSRCP in the last election, realized their follies. He claimed that the people were fed up with rowdyism, corruption and atrocities on the people who questioned the government on various issues. He said that youths, deprived of employment, were not able to get married.

Alleging that the state had stood number one in crimes and last in development, the TDP chief alleged that the YSRCP leaders were resorting to land-grabbing and making life miserable for the poor. The government is not accepting online transactions at wine shops as it fears the prospect of ED raids, he commented.

Naidu accused the government of closing around 150 Anna canteens and referred to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin's statesmanship for continuing the AIADMK regime's Amma canteens, treating it as a non-political issue. He said that he would set up Anna canteens in each mandal headquarters after coming to power.

Taking a dig at the three capital decisions of the Andhra Pradesh government, Chandrababu asked the people at the roadshow whether they needed three capitals or one capital. "The then TDP government has carried out welfare schemes and hiked the elderly pension from Rs 200 to Rs. 2000 and development activities by bringing companies to the state but now the scenario is different with companies not stepping into the state due to the AP government policies," Naidu asserted, adding that the state would prosper in development and welfare schemes only if the TDP came to power.

Chandrababu said that YSRCP's atrocities would not be tolerated and opined that they were ready for an election at any time. He said that YSRCP's days were over and TDP would come to power. He warned of getting back at the police and the leaders who, he alleged, are creating trouble for the people and the opposition party leaders.
