KCR praises YS Jagan for 'ending' Congress rule in Andhra Pradesh
KCR said that Jagan swept the subsequent elections which ensured that the Congress was wiped out of power in Andhra Pradesh
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) stated that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan's rise was a result of the harassment of the Congress Party. KCR spoke for almost two hours on Sunday in the Assembly session where he pointed out how the Congress granted Statehood to Telangana only out of political compulsion and not to support the desires of the people in the State.
During his speech, KCR said that Jagan was harassed by the Congress party in many ways after the death of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. KCR emphasised that YS Jagan had an impressive victory in the Kadapa Parliamentary seat by a margin of over 400,000 votes after facing challenges from the Congress. KCR said that Jagan swept the subsequent elections which ensured that the Congress was wiped out of power in Andhra Pradesh. A video of KCR praising Jagan has now gone viral on social media.
