YADADRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana President Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday dared TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to take a lie detector test over the sensational bribing scandal targetting the ruling party legislators.

Addressing the media during his visit to the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri as part of his challenge to KCR, Bandi Sanjay wondered, "If the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party had substantial proof against the BJP's role in the TRS MLAs' poaching episode, why didn't they submit it to the court?"

Earlier, Bandi Sanjay took a symbolic bath by pouring cold water on his head. He then swore on the god as if to show that the BJP was not involved in the scandal.

"Today, I arrived in Yadadri and took oath in front of the presiding deity of Lakshminara Simha Swamy to prove that the BJP has no role in the TRS MLAs' poaching scandal. KCR ignored my challenge because he knew he was the one who instigated the TRS MLAs' poaching scandal," Sanjay claimed.

The BJP Telangana chief stated that it was unfortunate that KCR was unable to safeguard his own MLAs. "KCR started this drama because he was terrified that the TRS would lose the Munugode by-election, as it happened in Huzurabad and Dubbaka," he alleged.

Bandi Sanjay said that the audio clips made public today were 'stolen'. "KCR worked hard for two days to prepare them. Why didn't KCR make the original audio public? Why were not the audio clips pertaining to Kaleswaram project audio tapes leaked?," he questioned.

"We have no idea who the Swamiji (accused in the scandal) is and have nothing to do with him. The TRS MLAs were the victims. They were the ones willing to be bought and sold. And also, they were the ones who made the complaint. The vehicles, that the police claim were used for transporting cash, belong to the TRS leaders. KCR is simply looking to get some political mileage by trying to tarnish the BJP's image," the Karimnagar MP said.

"The TRS claimed that Rs 100 crores were confiscated during the raid on the Moinabad farmhouse. Why did they fail to submit the evidence to the court if Rs 100 crores were seized in this scandal?," he questioned.
