HYDERABAD : TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Wednesday, questioning why he did not contest the recent Gujarat assembly elections if he was so angry and determined to destroy his political rival Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also questioned the Chief Minister on why his party did not back SP leader Akhilesh Yadav in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. While speaking to the media, Reddy asked the Chief Minister why he did not support Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal in Delhi state.

Revanth said that CPI leader D. Raja, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann all attended the BRS party's public gathering and restricted themselves to criticising the Congress and BJP.

He said unequivocally that the credit for constructing irrigation projects for the benefit of the country's farmers belongs to the Congress Party, adding that their party built the Nagarjuna Sagar dam with a capacity of 245 TMC.

He further said that their party is responsible for giving electricity to 1.45 lakh villages in the country as well as drinking water to 1 lakh villages. He further claimed that their party developed the Vizag steel factory and formed LIC and Air India. He asked KCR to tell him about the public sector organisations that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was selling.

He challenged KCR to form a fact-finding committee on the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project. In response to Chief Minister KCR's assertions that he was supplying Mission Bhagiratha water to all villages under the state, he said that numerous villages in Chief Minister KCR's assembly seat Gajwel lacked drinking water.

He said, KCR offered Rs 500 crores to a Karnataka leader in exchange for defeating the Congress party. Revanth went on to make shocking claims against the Chief Minister, claiming that KCR paid Rs 500 crores to an important Karnataka leader to defeat their party after learning that the Congress party would win 130 assembly seats on its own in the next assembly elections.

He further claimed that KCR discussed defeating their party in 30 assembly seats with the Karnataka leader. He asked the Chief Minister what he would do if the Congress party won in Karnataka. He alleged that after learning about KCR's true character, former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy did not attend KCR's public meeting in Khammam. He said that time would teach KCR a valuable lesson.
