2014 Assembly analysis:

• The TDP vote share and cadre shifted to the BRS along with the MLA in 2013. The Telangana movement wave and the strong presence of the party cadre has helped Hamanth Shinde to win the Assembly seat for the TRS.

• Magidas and the majority of BC communities have voted for the BRS in this election

• The Congress polled votes from Reddy, Mala, Lingayath and ST communities.

2018 Assembly analysis:

• With the Magida and BC consolidation, along with a strong party organizational presence, the BRS remained intact in this Assembly.

• Although the developmental activities were slow to fructify, with strong election management, the BRS candidate was able to retain his position. However, the margin has decreased from 35,000 to 29,000.

• The lack of opposition face and an internally-troubled congress was unable to galvanise the anti-BRS vote

• Reddy and lingayaths remained with the Congress.

Current situation:

• There is anti-incumbency sentiment against the BRS due to the inaccessibility of leaders and people are worried about the development of the constituency, particularly infrastructure, education, and health.

Key local issues:

1. Many villages don't have BT roads

2. Drinking water in the Madhnur area

3. Development of the Nizam Sagar project as a tourist spot

4. Koulas Nala modernization project

5. Achampet- Nagamdugu bridge

6. Road access to tandas
