Candidates Profile

Md Mubeen (AIMIM)

Mohd Mubeen is a corporator from Shastripuram Division and is associated with the party for more than two decades. He was elected four times to the municipal body since 2002.

Mir Inayat Ali Baqri (BRS)

Mir Inayat Ali Baqri is the working president of National Hawker Federation and incharge of the BRS in Bahadurpura. He was also the former chairman of SETWIN. He previously contested the current MLA Moazzam Khan in 2018 but lost. He wants to revive the small-scale industries and work on civic issues.

Rajesh Kumar Pulipati (Congress)

Rajesh is an advocate hailing from the Padmashali caste (BC-B). He was earlier the convenor of Telangana Congress Election Commission co-ordination committee. He was also the party’s block president in Bahadurpura constituency from 2006-2008. He is trying to get more people to vote this time around which he hopes to bring him good fortunes.

Y. Naresh Kumar (BJP)

He is the Bahadurpura incharge of the party and is contesting for the first time. He is active in door-to-door campaigns across the constituency.

Constituency information

Bahadurpura constituency which was formed in 2009 is one of 15 constituencies in Hyderabad. The electoral fight in this constituency has been won constantly by the AIMIM (thrice).

MLA Profile

Personal Background: Nawab Mohammad Moazam Khan first won as an MLA from Asif Nagar in 2004. He won the elections by a margin of 2,110 votes as he polled 25,719 votes compared to 24,609 votes in favour of Congress candidate Nagender. He won the elections again from Bahadurpura in 2009, 2014 and 2018. He has the distinction of being the backbone of the AIMIM.

2014 Election Analysis:

  • In Assembly elections 2014, Mohd. Moazam Khan of AIMIM party won with 1,06,874 votes.
  • The runner up was Md. Abdul Rahman of the TDP. The margin of victory was 95,045 votes.

  • In the elections of 2018, Mohd. Moazam Khan of the AIMIM party won with 96,993 votes.
  • The runner up was Mir Inayath Ali Baqri of the BRS party. The margin of victory was 82,518 votes.
