Etala Rajender accuses Congress of displacing poor under Musi beautification project

HYDERABAD: Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender criticised the Congress government, accusing it of acting more oppressively than the Nizam regime by displacing the poor under the Musi river beautification project.

During a visit to the Musi river area, Rajender expressed his discontent with the government’s actions, accusing them of demolishing houses of the underprivileged under the pretext of beautification.

The BJP MP remarked that the authorities were issuing notices and creating fear among ordinary citizens, making it impossible for the poor to live in peace. He further criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of treating people's homes as personal property and warning that the public would not tolerate this behaviour. He assured the affected families of his support and pledged to stand by them.
