HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) intensified efforts to relocate residents affected by the Musi River cleansing project.

In response to the government's decision to clear the area, steps were taken to forcibly move residents who had not complied with relocation notices. The GHMC Commissioner, Amrapali, issued directives to deploy 14 housing officials to manage the relocation process.

These officials were tasked with relocating the displaced families to double-bedroom housing units in various areas, including Pilligudisela, Jangammet, Pratapsingaram, Sai Charan Colony, Kamala Nagar, Kollur-1, Gandhi Nagar, Jai Bhavani Nagar, Thimmaiguda, Narsingi, Bandlaguda, D. Pochampally-2, and Bachupally.

The initiative is part of the government's plan to rehabilitate families affected by the Musi River cleansing operations and ensure they are moved to suitable housing areas.
