Harish Rao condemns Revanth Reddy's remarks on BRS women MLAs

HYDEARAD: Former Minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao has strongly condemned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's inappropriate remarks against BRS women MLAs in the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.

In a post on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), Harish Rao expressed his disapproval of Revanth Reddy's remarks, stating that such comments insult all women. "This is an affront to the entire female community. We demand that the Chief Minister immediately apologise to the BRS women MLAs," he tweeted.

Harish Rao highlighted that during the ten years of BRS governance, Assembly sessions were conducted with dignity, setting an example for other states. He criticised the Congress party's approach, accusing them of trampling on parliamentary traditions and silencing the opposition.

"Is it wrong for us, as the opposition, to demand the implementation of promises made to the public during elections?"Harish Rao questioned.

He further criticised the government for its handling of various issues, including farmer suicides, weaver deaths, and the suicides of auto drivers. Harish Rao emphasized that raising these issues in the Assembly is not a mistake.

"The arrogance displayed by the Congress, despite their weakness, is being observed by the people of the state. The public is counting each mistake made by the Congress," he said.
