HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government publish a white paper detailing the number of job notifications issued and jobs filled since coming to power. He questioned the government's commitment to its job calendar and promises.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday, KTR pointed out that the Congress government has been in power for seven months and is now in its eighth month without a single job notification. He questioned how the government plans to fulfill its promise of two lakh jobs in the remaining four months. He warned they would hold the government accountable in the legislative assembly and public forums.

"In Telangana, two unemployed politicians of the Congress got jobs by promising to provide two lakh jobs within the first year of their coming to power. If one person is the Chief Minister, another person has become the main opposition leader at the national level," he said.

KTR stated that unemployment was not just a political tussle but a matter concerning the future of lakhs of young people. He urged the Chief Minister to apologise to the unemployed youth and fulfill the promise of providing two lakh jobs. He also demanded an increase in the number of posts in Group-2 and Group-3 exams and the issuance of a mega DSC, as promised.

He criticised Revanth Reddy for his remarks about the student leader Mothilal Naik, who went on a hunger strike for jobs. He accused the Chief Minister of disrespecting individuals preparing for competitive exams and the coaching centres that helped them. He said that the youth of Telangana were frustrated with the government's inaction.

KTR criticised Revanth Reddy for questioning Bukka Judson's hunger strike and asking what job he was fasting for. He reminded him that Revanth Reddy himself had fasted in 2023 at Gandhi Bhavan.

He highlighted that the Congress government had promised two lakh jobs in its first year but failed to deliver. He accused the government of misleading the youth with false promises and not issuing any job notifications. He warned that BRS would stall the Assembly proceedings if the government did not publish a white paper on job notifications and fulfilment.
