Sabitha Indra Reddy demands apology from Revanth Reddy over offensive remarks

HYDERABAD: Former minister and BRS MLA P Sabitha Indra Reddy has demanded a public apology from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy following his controversial remarks in the Assembly.

The Chief Minister's comments, which implied that listening to certain women would lead one to end up at the Jubilee Bus Stand, have sparked outrage and deep distress for Sabitha Indra Reddy.

"Where did the CM come from? Which party did he switch from? We will definitely discuss all these matters. Revanth Reddy said that if a crow from KCR's house lands on my house, I will shoot it. How many people will you shoot? Why did you include them in the party? Now, the CM is enjoying his position," Sabitha Indra Reddy retorted angrily.

Placing her hand on her heart, Sabitha Indra Reddy continued, "When Revanth joined the Congress, I blessed him as a sister, saying he would grow and become the Chief Minister of this state. Now, I don't understand why he is targeting me. Why is he taking revenge on me? The CM said not to trust the women behind him as they would deceive him. What deception did I commit, Mr. Speaker? Did I deceive him? I invited him to the party, believing he would be a beacon of hope for the future. Revanth should place his hand on his heart and tell us what deception I committed. He spoke the same during the elections. Why is he targeting me? Why is he insulting me? I demand that Revanth withdraw his comments," Sabitha Indra Reddy demanded.

In response to Revanth Reddy's remarks, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu defended him. Sridhar Babu stated, "The leader did not specifically mention Sabitha's name. Revanth Reddy did not speak about anyone in particular; he just gave a suggestion and advice."
