VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh police have seized about 100 kgs of ganja (marijuana) at the Keesara toll plaza near Vijayawada. The plaza is located in Kanchikacharla mandal of Nandigama belonging to NTR district.
According to information, the Kanchikacharla police who were on duty near Keesara Toll Plaza, found out that three persons were trafficking ganja from Paderu in Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad. They searched their vehicles and seized the banned substance.
The three persons were reportedly trafficking about 100 kg of ganja in two cars. The police were in the process of ascertaining other details from the accused. Focus is on to know whether the illegal ganja consignment was meant for distribution in Hyderabad or destined for any other parts of the country.
