2 women kill youth at Kuppam over an affair, deliver body at home

CHITTOOR: A youth was allegedly killed over a suspected illicit affair in Kuppam in Chittoor district. The incident created a flutter in the district as the deceased body was delivered to his house by two women. The police took the two women into custody and launched an inquiry into the matter.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Vinod Kumar, a native of Gudi Kotturu Village in Gudipalli mandal in the district. He was a tractor driver. On Thursday evening, Vinod left for Kuppam from his house. After reaching there, Vinod took a room in a lodge on Palace Road in Kuppam. However, at 6 pm, two women rushed Vinod to a private hospital claiming that he was unwell. Doctors, after examining Vinod, declared him brought dead, the police said.

The two women then delivered Vinod’s body to his family members, who filed a complaint against the two suspecting his death. The police registered a case and took the two women into custody and launched an inquiry into the matter. The police suspected that an illicit affair might be one of the reasons for Vinod’s death.

Meanwhile, Vinod’s body was shifted to Area hospital in Kuppam for postmortem, the police added.
