63-yr-old Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker does yoga on water to promote sports
Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy defied his age by doing yoga while floating on water for about an hour
VIZIANAGARAM: Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy, YSRCP Vizianagaram MLA and Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, defied his age on Tuesday by doing yoga while floating on water for about an hour. The MLA is 63-years-old. The programme was held on the occasion of National Swimming Pool Day at the Aqua Sports Complex. It was attended by State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, Deputy CM Peedika Rajanna Dora and Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.
Talking about his feat, Veerabhadra Swamy said, "I wanted to convey the importance of sports to today's youth and that is why I undertook this Jalasana."
The Deputy Speaker advised people to prioritise health and take up sports on a regular basis.
