A month before wedding, TTD EO Dharma Reddy's son suffers heart attack, critical

CHENNAI: Chandramouli Reddy, the son of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Dharma Reddy, is reportedly battling for life after suffering a heart attack on Sunday. He is being treated at Kauvery Hospital in the Tamil Nadu capital where his condition is stated to be critical. The 28-year-old, who is going to get married in January, 2023, suffered a massive stroke when he was at a relative's place in Chennai to distribute his wedding card.

In a health bulletin released on Monday, the hospital said that Chandramouli Reddy was in an extremely critical state and was on multiple organ support. He is being looked after by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, the hospital said.

The health bulletin, released in the name of hospital co-founder and executive director Dr Aravindan Selvaraj, said: "Mr Chandramouli Reddy, son of Mr Dharma Reddy, E.O TTD was brought in to our emergency room after a sudden cardiac arrest on 18th Dec 2022.

CPR (Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation) was immediately commenced and he was shifted to the Cathlab. ECMO was initiated and Stent placed in a completely occluded coronary artery.

He is in an extremely critical state on multiple organ support and being looked after by a multidisciplinary team of doctors and nurses.

Chandramouli Reddy, according to reports, has been working in Mumbai and was also preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations for civil services. He was recently engaged to the daughter of A J Sekhar Reddy, TTD's Chennai advisory council chairman.

Both the families are reported to be busy visiting the houses of their near and dear in Chennai to formally extend the invites for the wedding. On Sunday afternoon, Chandramouli Reddy reportedly went to a relative's house in Alwarpet to hand over the wedding invitation when he complained of severe pain in his chest.

He was driven to Kauvery Hospital by one of his friends and it was found out that he suffered a massive heart stroke. TTD EO Dharma Reddy, his wife and other family members reportedly reached Chennai on Sunday evening. The family is spending anxious moments while praying for the well-being of Chandramouli. TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy, Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and several others visited Chandramouli Reddy at Kauvery Hospital.
