AAG Ponnavolu, TTD Chairman Bhumana, 20 Govt advisers including Sajjala quit, Govt rejects long leaves

AMARAVATI: With the change of guard in Andhra Pradesh, Government advisers and officials who held senior positions in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government have decided to quit and submitted their papers.

However, the Government rejected applications of senior bureaucrats who wanted to go on long leave fearing persecution by the incumbent Government.

All the advisors of the AP government have resigned from their posts in the wake of the YCP debacle. All of them resigned from their posts in the wake of the formation of the TDP alliance government in AP. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who was the Government advisor in the Jagan Government, sent his resignation letter to CS Jawahar Reddy.

National Media Advisor Devulapalli Amar, GVD Krishna Mohan, Ajay Kallam, Samuel, Chairman of the Board of Higher Education Hemachandra Reddy, and others have submitted their resignation letters.

TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy resigned and unconfirmed reports said that Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother Nagababu could replace Bhumana. On the other hand, Janasena Central Andhra zone convenor Badita Shankar could be nominated for the post of Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple chairman.

AAG Ponnavolu resigns

Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy handed over his resignation letter to Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy. State Public Prosecutor Yarram Reddy Nagi Reddy and Additional Public Prosecutor Dushyant Reddy also submitted their resignations. As the vacation court is currently underway, the AGP and APP are likely to resign after a few days.

Andhra Pradesh State Civil Relations Commissioner Vijay Kumar Reddy sent his resignation to the Chief Secretary. He demanded that his resignation be accepted immediately.

However, CID chief Sanjay withdrew his leave application in the wake of criticism over the CS's permission to travel abroad. CM designate Nara Chandrababu Naidu declined to meet former intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu. He returned as Naidu’s office refused to give him an appointment.

Given the formation of a new Government in AP, the interim Government has rejected the applications of many top officials of the previous Government who wanted to cancel long-term leave and deputations and go to the Centre and Telangana. The Government rejected the applications of Tirumala EO Dharma Reddy to cancel his deputation wishing to go on leave.

IAS officers who are afraid of working in Andhra Pradesh, want to be relieved to join the parent organization, some officers have already decided to go on leave. TTD EO Dharmareddy, APSFL MD Madhusudhan Reddy, Mines MD D. Venkat Reddy, Information Commissioner Vijay Kumar Reddy, former MD of Beverages Corporation Vasudeva Reddy, Industries Corporation MD D Rajeshwar Reddy, Ramakrishna, IG, Stamps and Registration Department, and Rawat, Special Secretary, Finance Department, were rejected.

The government has decided not to relieve the officers who have already applied for deputation and not to give leave to any officer.

Tadepalli CID SIT office locked, SIT chief sacked

As per the Governor's order, the Tadepalli CID SIT office was locked and all documents were seized. Earlier, Chandrababu was arrested by the CID in connection with the skill development case questioned in the same Tadepalli office

When the election code was in force, the SIT police allegedly burnt the documents of the Heritage company belonging to the Chandrababu family. TDP leaders alleged that false documents were prepared to implicate Chandrababu in illegal cases.

The TDP leaders complained to Governor Nazeer about the burning of Heritage documents near the SIT office. During the change of Government, orders were given to seize the SIT office. The Governor has already directed to preserve the documents in the offices of Chief Secretaries, Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and all Heads of Departments.

Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief Kollu Raghurama Reddy was also relieved of all responsibilities and report to the home department immediately. The SIT office has been locked with the help of senior police officials.
