AMARAVATI: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking the dismissal of a case registered against him during the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. The case in Nandyal involved a rally conducted without prior permission.

The incident occurred when Allu Arjun visited the residence of YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy in Nandyal to extend his support during the elections. A large crowd gathered to see the actor, and local authorities claimed the rally was held without necessary approvals. Based on a complaint from the Returning Officer, the police registered a case against Allu Arjun and Shilpa Ravi under IPC Section 188 for violating lawful orders. The case was filed as Crime Number 71/2024.

Allu Arjun, accompanied by his wife Sneha Reddy, visited Shilpa Ravi’s home in Nandyal. He supported his long-time friend, wishing him victory in the election. "Shilpa Ravi is a good friend of mine. Whenever we meet, he always talks about Nandyal. I have come here to congratulate him and wish him success with a strong majority," Allu Arjun said.

The court is expected to hear the petition on Tuesday.
