AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh has already initiated his action plan even before officially assuming office as a Cabinet Minister.

Nara Lokesh, who secured a historic victory in the polls with a substantial margin, immediately started fulfilling his duties from day one, driven by the immense trust placed in him by the people of Mangalagiri. He actively participates in the Praja Darbar daily to gather firsthand information about people's issues. As the Minister for Human Resources Development (HRD), he conducts regular review meetings with senior officers of the Education Department to introduce radical changes in the academic sector.

Soon, Lokesh will meet with leaders of various student unions and parent organizations to understand long-standing issues in the education sector and devise solutions. The Minister has already formulated an action plan with a unique ideology to ensure its successful implementation.

Lokesh said that teachers should focus solely on providing quality food during the mid-day meal and delivering quality education to students, without being burdened with additional tasks.

Lokesh's primary goals include providing basic amenities in all schools across the state, resolving longstanding issues in higher education, addressing pending faculty recruitment challenges, and distributing quality school kits to students. Additionally, Lokesh has devised a 100-day action plan to restore the past glory of the IT and Electronics sectors, which faced challenges during the previous YSRCP administration.

With his commitment to achieving his goals without rest, Lokesh has gained a stellar reputation among the youth of the state. During his tenure as Minister for Rural Development, IT, and Electronics from 2017 to 2019, Lokesh implemented various development projects, including setting a record by constructing 25,000 km of CC roads in rural areas.

In 2018, Lokesh was honored with the prestigious SKOCH Person of the Year Award for his revolutionary contributions to rural development and the Digital Leader of the Year award for introducing advanced technology in administration. His initiatives in panchayat raj and rural development earned the state the Innovation Award from the Central government and the Kalam Innovation in Governance Award.

In 2018, Lokesh was specially invited to represent India at the Annual Summit of the Entrepreneurship of the World Economic Forum held in China. He is also the sole Indian leader nominated for the World Economic Forum's Network of Global Future Councils. With his progressive ideas, Lokesh has attracted globally renowned IT and electronics companies like HCL, TCS, and Celcon to establish their units in the state, thereby generating employment opportunities for thousands of youth.

Given his extensive experience, Lokesh, now as the Minister for HRD, IT, and Electronics, is poised to bring about radical reforms in these sectors to propel the state forward.
