AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Police Department announced on Sunday that citizens with licensed guns are to surrender them at their nearest police stations, in light of the Election Code being enforced in the state.
They also clarified that the issuance of new weapons will be suspended until the elections. Reports indicate that about 10,000 people hold gun licenses in the state.
