AP CID starts probe against TDP affiliated magazine

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) has started investigation into the false news articles published in 'Chaitanya Radham' magazine affiliated to the TDP.

Based on a complaint lodged by the Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Bugganna Rajendranath, the CID registered a case and took up the investigation.

The magazine published false news articles related to the properties of the Minister mentioned in his election affidavit, evoking sharp criticism from him.

After registering the case, the CID collected information about the magazine and issued notices to its advocate. The CID sleuths enquired about the magazine editor and the management which is operating it. They handed over a copy of the notice to the magazine advocate.
