AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday directed former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu not to address media on the skill development case and not to take out political rallies till he was on interim bail.

The High Court granted four weeks of bail to Chandrababu Naidu on October 31 to seek medical treatment for his known alignments including his skin problem and cataract. The Court laid down five conditions for Naidu while granting the bail.

However, the APCID filed a supplementary petition on the same day seeking five more additional conditions on Naidu including the continuous presence of two CID officials of the rank of DSPs with Naidu to report his movements to the Court and restrict the former CM from spending time for any other purpose other than medical treatment.

On Friday, the Court rejected the two particular demands of the APCID but reiterated the conditions that restrict Naidu from addressing media and organising political rallies. Dammalapati Srinivas, the lawyer for Naidu tried to impress upon the bench that Naidu did not address media either on the 14-hour-long journey from Rajamahendravaram Central Prison to his residence at Undavalli. He said that Naidu spoke briefly to the media outside the Jail just to thank the people who supported him during his incarceration. The Court also directed the former CM to submit all the medical reports to the Court before returning to the jail on November 28 upon the completion of the four-week interim bail.
