Chandrababu Naidu behind Sharmila’s entry into Congress, says Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy

TADEPALLI: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) general secretary and adviser to the Government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy underplayed the entry of YS Sharmila and the merger of her party with the Congress and said that she is free to represent any place of her choice.
Speaking with media at the CM camp office here on Saturday, he suspected the hand of former CM and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the merger of YSRTP with the Congress. “Chandrababu Naidu is behind Sharmila joining the Congress. We have been saying that Congress has played a role in the killing of YS Rajasakhara Reddy,” he said adding that the same TDP leaders who made many allegations against Brother Anil, husband of Sharmila could be seen standing next to him now and posing for pictures. He said that TDP leader BTech Ravi met Brother Anil under the nefarious plan hatched by Naidu.
He pointed out that Congress had been pitting family members against each other for political gains. “In the early days of YSRCP, the Congress fielded YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s paternal uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy in the poll fray,” Sajjala said.
He opined that Chandrababu Nadu had realised that he would not win the ensuing Assembly elections in the State and was trying to divert the issue toward Sharmila. “Chandrababu Naidu knows that when it comes to welfare he will get minus marks. He always plays political games through someone else,” he pointed out.
He said that Congress had no future in Andhra Pradesh and that his party would not consider Congress as an opponent in Andhra Pradesh.
