Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet to have 8 BCs, 17 new faces, 3 women, one berth kept vacant

AMARAVATI: Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet will have Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan as the Deputy Chief Minister and 23 other ministers.
The list of 24 ministers, including Pawan Kalyan, was announced at 1.15 pm on Tuesday. One seat is kept vacant. The JSP got three seats and the BJP got one seat.
The cabinet was formed to maintain a balance between the seniors and the youth. More than half were new entrants. Three of them were women.
There are eight BCs, two SCs, one ST, one Muslim and one Vaishya. There will be 4 Kapus, 4 Kammas and three Reddies in Naidu’s cabinet.
The announcement of the list was delayed as Chandrababu was waiting to discuss with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J. P. Nadda on whom should be included in the cabinet from the BJP.
Aspirants and supporters waited for the moment with nervous excitement for the list. For the last few days, Chandrababu has been busy with the cabinet formation.
The cabinet was prepared by balancing the aspirations of social groups, regions, and different communities. TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh also attended the meeting. TDP accommodated Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Kolusu Parthasarathy as per the promise.
