Andhra Pradesh High Court dealing with the custody petition filed by the CID seeking five-day custody of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, ordered the ACB court not to reserve its orders on custody till Monday
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh High Court dealing with the custody petition filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) seeking five-day custody of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam case, ordered the ACB special court not to reserve its orders on custody till Monday.
Opening up arguments on the custody petition, counsel for Chandrababu Naidu, Sidharth Luthra and Dammalapati Srinivas vehemently opposed the custody of the former Chief Minister. Following this, the High Court gave the orders.
On the other hand, the AP High Court dealing with the Quash petition seeking quashing of the remand report and FIR which automatically results in bail for Chandrababu Naidu said that it would hear both sides in detail before deciding. The court posted the case for hearing on Tuesday, September 19.
Naidu’s counsel sought quashing of the skill development case reiterating that the 409 IPC dealt with a breach of trust by a public servant and not a public representative like Chandrababu Naidu. The hearing on the Amaravati IRR alignment change case was also posted for hearing on September 19. The Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy sought additional time to file a counter in the IRR case.
