MANGALAGIRI: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu issued a stern warning to party leaders, advising them to avoid repeating the mistakes made by the YSR Congress Party (YCP) during their tenure.

Addressing a gathering of TDP MLAs, MPs, and MLCs at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, Chandrababu stated that if TDP leaders followed the same path as YCP, they might face the same fate in the upcoming elections.

He emphasised the importance of discipline within the party, urging leaders to ensure that public trust in the TDP was maintained. "Every individual must adhere to discipline, and we should never give the public a reason to doubt us," Chandrababu said, adding that the good work the party did now would be critical for success in the next elections. He reminded the party that YCP’s downfall to 11 seats was a result of their governance failures and warned that if the TDP followed a similar path, it would push the state into turmoil.

Chandrababu also cautioned leaders that any mistakes made by the coalition would reflect directly on the Chief Minister, advising that wrongdoers would not be spared, but personal vendettas should also be avoided. He particularly warned against any new involvement in the liquor business, stressing that such actions would not be tolerated. He also mentioned plans to have further discussions with all leaders regarding the party’s policies on liquor and sand.

Chandrababu pointed out that the "Super Six" policies introduced by the government could be a game changer for the state. He encouraged party members to work towards forming an alliance with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in order to secure victory in the 2029 elections. He concluded by emphasizing that only by working as a united force could the party meet the expectations of the people.
