Chief Minister took serious note of the irregularities in the pension scheme. According to reports officials at the district level are also likely to be suspended.
It has been found that age is being changed in Aadhaar cards so that they can avail of old age pensions. Similarly, it was found that disabled pensions are taken by submitting fake certificates. Irregularities are also found in window and single women's pensions.
There have been complaints that some government employees are also receiving social pensions.
The coalition government has made it clear that action will be taken against all the officials responsible for the irregularities in the implementation of the pension scheme.
