Dacoits barge into two trains near Kavali, rob passengers

NELLORE: Many passengers on board two trains were robbed of their valuables by dacoits in between Singarayakonda and Kavali railway stations just after midnight on Sunday.
The robbers entered the Chennai-bound Chennai Express and created terror before relieving the hapless passengers of their jewelry and cash. They robbed passengers in S2, S4, S5, S6 and S7 coaches. Passengers reported the incident to railway police at the Kavali station.
The robbers also attacked passengers in S1 and S2 coaches of the Secunderabad-Tambaram Charminar Express and robbed them. These two incidents occurred between 1.20 am to 1.50 am.
