Devotee dies after collapsing in Tirumala laddu queue

TIRUMALA: An unidentified devotee died after collapsing in the laddu counter queue in Tirumala on Sunday. The tragic incident happened when the person was waiting for his turn to purchase the sacred laddus following a darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara at the temple.

The devotee was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The police were in the process of establishing his identity to contact his family.

It is suspected that he might have suffered a massive cardiac arrest while standing in the queue.
