NELLORE: The Disha App of the Andhra Pradesh police once again proved its efficacy after the police in Nellore were able to provide timely security to a woman and her child in the dead of the night. Nellore police played the role of good Samaritans to a woman and her child who were stranded on the road in the middle of the night following a car puncture on Wednesday night. The woman, who sought help through Disha app, was immediately rescued by the Nellore police.
According to the Marripadu police, the woman, whose identity was not immediately revealed, was traveling to Nellore from Madanapally in Chittoor district along with her daughter when her car suffered a puncture late at night. The woman immediately made an SoS call through Disha app. Within 10 minutes, a police team reached the site and resolved the issue.
The Nellore police helped the woman change the punctured tyre of the car and made sure they reached their destination safely. The mother and daughter later thanked the police for their timely response.
