VIJAYAWADA: Tadikonda Returning Officer (RO) M Gangaraju has sent notice to Guntur MP candidate Pemmasani Chandrasekhar. On March 25, during a campaign meeting at Lam village in the constituency, Pemmasani compared YSRCP leaders to that of Saddam Hussein‘s.
“YSR Congress leaders are behaving like Saddam Hussein. Since Saddam Hussein also behaved autocratically, he was pulled out of a bunker and was killed mercilessly like a dog,” Pemmasani said.
YSRCP MLC Lella Appireddy and Muslim Hakkula Parirakshana Samithi president Shaik Nagul Meera filed separate complaints to the Tadikonda election returning officer. While serving notice, the RO asked Chandrasekhar to submit his explanation by Friday evening.
