AMARAVATI: In a shocking development for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has transferred Andhra Pradesh Intelligence Director-General of Police PSR Anjaneyulu and Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Kanthi Rana Tata on Tuesday.
They have been instructed to be relieved immediately by the ECI. This move comes as a shocker for Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy just ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections in 2024.
The action was taken based on TDP and BJP’s Purandeshwari's complaint against them with ECI and demanded their removal immediately.
These transfers came as a reaction to the stone pelting on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan, who was attacked recently.
