Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that 72.26 percent of students passed the examination with girls outshining the boys with a pass percentage of 75.38 against 69.27 percent of boys getting through the examination.
The minister also said that the pass percentage was increased by 5 percent compared to that of last year with an increase of 3.57 percent increase in pass percentage in government schools. While coming to district-wise results, Parvathipuram district stood at the top while Nandyal district took the bottom place.
The Board of Secondary Education allowed the students to apply for recounting and re-verification of answer sheets till May 13 and announced the schedule for the supplementary exams to be held from June 2 to June 10. The Board advised the students to pay the supplementary examination fee by May 17.
