Election Commission orders inquiry against Palnadu DPO Vijayabhaskar Reddy

AMARAVATI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a probe against Palnadu DPO Vijayabhaskar Reddy. Vijayabhaskar Reddy was the webcasting and monitoring officer for the Macherla constituency that has witnessed poll-related violence.

In the Palvai Gate polling booth, YSR Congress Party MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy destroyed the EVM which was recorded by the web cameras. But the DPO kept that as a secret without informing the higher officials.

The TDP leaders complained to the Election Commission against the DPO and the commission directed Collector Balaji to conduct an inquiry and submit a report.
