Fifth-class student jumps off school building in Nandyal

NANDYAL: A fifth-class student attempted suicide by jumping from the terrace of his school building in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. With injuries, he was shifted to a private hospital where his condition was reported to be critical.

The school management came under fire following suicide attempt as other students put the blame on it for inaction on issues related to hostel and other facilities.

Allegedly, the school management admitted the student to a private hospital and has been attempting to hide the information from the media. According to reports, the condition of the student was critical and due to which, he was shifted to Kurnool for better treatment.

Many unsavoury incidents were reported to have taken place on the school premises but the school management was only allegedly interested in brushing them under the carpet instead of finding out reasons and their solutions.
