Five killed and six injured after lorry hits Toofan vehicle in Pileru

Five people were killed and six others were seriously injured after a lorry hit a Toofan vehicle at Mathampally Cross in KV Pally mandal of Pileru constituency in Chittoor district.

HYDERABAD: Five people were killed and six others were seriously injured after a lorry hit a Toofan vehicle at Mathampally Cross in KV Pally mandal of Pileru constituency in Chittoor district.

The victims were identified as belonging to Belagavi in Karnataka went to Srisailam for darshan in a Toofan vehicle with registration number KA49M5170 and subsequently went to Tirumala. As they could not have darshan at Tirumala, they returned to their hometown.

However, the vehicle collided by a lorry after it reached KV Pally mandal in Chittoor district leaving five dead besides huge traffic jam

Upon knowing the matter, the Kalakada police reached the spot and shifted the deceased to Pileru government hospital while the injured to Tirupati RUIA Hospital for better treatment.

The police who cleared the traffic have registered the case and investigating it further.
