Four people of NRI family from Andhra Pradesh die in road accident in Saudi Arabia
The incident occurred when Gouse Basha along with his family was returning in his car to Kuwait after performing Umrah and praying at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah
HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, four members of an NRI family from Rajampet in Andhra Pradesh died in a road accident near Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Dandhu Gouse Basha (35), his wife Tabarak Sarwar (31) and two sons- three-year-old Mohammad Ehan Gouse and eight-month- old Mohammad Damil Gouse.
Gouse Basha was a native of Madanapalle in Sri Annamayya district. He was working at an American University in Kuwait. The incident occurred when Gouse Basha was returning in his car to Kuwait after performing Umrah and praying at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. The car collided with a trailer on the Hafna – Tuwakh road near 120 km away in Riyadh.
It had become a tough task for the police officials to identify the victims since most of their belongings, including travel documents, were burnt when the car caught fire following the collision. The bodies were shifted to Rumah general hospital for post-mortem and legal formalities are yet to be completed.
Meanwhile, the parents of Gouse Basha were admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru after hearing about the tragedy.
