ANANTAPUR: Anantapur district witnessed heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods across various parts of the region. Several areas have been affected, with the government issuing warnings for residents in low-lying zones to remain alert.

In Raptadu mandal, the Pandameru river, typically a small stream, swelled to an unusual extent, causing significant disruption. The river's overflow submerged the New Ambedkar Colony and surrounding areas, leaving homes and roads flooded.

Authorities have urged the people living near the river to take precautions as the water levels continue to rise. Government officials are monitoring the situation closely and have alerted the local population to stay cautious, especially those residing in vulnerable areas.
