High on dope and booze, woman attacks ASI in Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: A young woman created ruckus on the road at YMCA in Visakhapatnam, reportedly under the influence of alcohol and marijuana (ganja) on Wednesday night. As per reports, the young woman, named Amulya, was stopped by the Three Town police when she was consuming alcohol and moving on the roads.
However, enraged by it, the woman tried to attack ASI P.V. Satyanarayana with a beer bottle, only to cause a serious injury near the eye for an onlooker, Govind. The injured person lodged a complaint against her in the Three Town police station.
The woman, hurling choicest expletives against the police, also kicked the ASI, leaving everyone around in shock. A video of the woman's uncouth behaviour went viral.
Local youths, who witnessed the whole incident of attacking ASI, sought justice for the latter. Meanwhile, Amulya has threatened the police by taking the name of her boyfriend Durga Prasad saying that they would face severe consequences.
When examined, Amulya reportedly has got a reading of 149 on the breath analyser.
Ch Srikanth, the Commissioner of Police in Vizag, stated, "In connection with the assault on the ASI of the three town police station by a 24-year-old woman, she has been charged under various sections of the IPC and the MV Act. She was inebriated and a repeat offender. She was involved in a similar incident twice before this one but was not arrested. This time, she was charged under sections 353, 427, and 324 of the IPC, as well as sections 184 and 185 of the MV Act ".
