RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh, along with his mother Bhuvaneswari and wife Brahmani met his father and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison through the ‘Mulaqat’ facility on Tuesday.

Lokesh, along with his family members, spent almost 40 minutes in prison and informed his father about the subsequent situation in Andhra Pradesh after his arrest in connection with a scam in Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). Interestingly, Lokesh remained calm and refused to address the media after Mulaqat with his father in the prison.

However, Bhuvaneswari came forth to speak and expressed her concerns about the security arrangements for Chandrababu Naidu in the prison. She said that Chandrababu Naidu had always thought about the development of erstwhile and bifurcated Andhra Pradesh and tried to make it stand top in the country during his four-decade political career.

“It is a tough time for my family. I never thought of meeting my husband in prison. People’s welfare is a priority for him and then comes his family. I am requesting people to extend solidarity to my husband. I promise that my family will stand by the people and the TDP cadre forever,” she said, and added that Chandrababu Naidu was also not bothered about himself and assured of doing service to the public after coming from prison.

Reacting to the security arrangements in the prison, Bhuvaneswari said, “I am satisfied with the security arrangements but lacking confidence and don’t find any additional facilities provided to him.” Earlier in the day, advocate Lakshmi Narayana also met Chandrababu Naidu through the ‘Mulaqat’ facility.
