AMARAVATI: YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the party's MPs to raise the recent violent incidents in Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament and demand the President's Rule.

Addressing the 15 Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs during the YSRCP parliamentary meeting held at the Tadepalli camp office in Guntur district on Saturday, Jagan expressed grave concerns over the state's deteriorating law and order situation. He highlighted the attacks on YSRCP leaders and workers, citing the recent murder in Vinukonda as a peak example of the violence. Jagan urged the MPs to demand a discussion in Parliament on the attacks against YSRCP workers and to call for the President's Rule in the state.

Jagan also mentioned that he has sought appointments with President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the state's law and order situation. He instructed the MPs to arrange these meetings on the same day as the planned protest on July 24. He encouraged inviting supportive parties to join the protest to increase pressure on the state government.

Jagan stated that the ongoing incidents are fueling public anger against the coalition government. He called for strong warnings to be sent to Chandrababu Naidu, emphasising that the atrocities would not be curbed without a fight. He also mentioned that protests would be staged in the Assembly sessions to highlight the violent conditions in the state. He stressed the collective responsibility to protect party workers and reiterated that the violence could be stopped through persistent struggle.
