Jagan only prostrating before Centre, not raising State issues: Nara Lokesh
Nara Lokesh on Monday said that when TDP was in power the state had progressed but after the YSRCP came to power the state has only depreciated
V Kota Town: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday said that when TDP was in power the state had progressed but after the YSRCP came to power the state has only depreciated.
Interacting with the youth at the 'Hello Lokesh' programme organised at the GMR kalyana mandapam by the locals here as part of his ongoing pada yatra 'Yuva Galam', Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh was moving on the progressive path for 67 years but after Jaganmohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister the fast-developing state has only seen downfall.
Stating that he launched the 'Yuva Galam' only to stand by the youth who are fighting for a better future, Lokesh said that the Chief Minister rather choses to take shelter at Tadepalle palace than interacting with the public. “This is a good opportunity of the youth to understand and elect their leaders wisely,” he added.
“What happened to the Special Category Status for the state which Jagan promised before coming to power, questioned Lokesh. He also pointed out that the youth lost employment opportunities after Jagan had assumed charge as the Chief Minister. "Except falling at the feet of the elders in Delhi, the Chief Minister is not raising the state issues with the Centre," he lamented.
Lokesh taking a dig at the state government said, “The Chief Minister had promised three lakh jobs to the youth every year through job calendar which has not been fulfilled. The vacancies in police department and the posts of teachers were also not being filled.”
Jagan, who was totally in support of a single capital before coming to power, is now raising the three-capital slogan, the TDP leader wondered.
Claiming that the TDP national president, Chandrababu Naidu, is a brand for providing jobs and employment opportunities, he said that Jagan has chased potential companies out of the State. "It is really shameful that the Chief Minister did not visit Davos due to the heavy cold," he remarked.
“Observing that over 35 lakh youth remained jobless after Jagan assumed charge as the Chief Minister, I launched the Yuva Galam. Providing employment opportunities to the youth will be on top of the TDP manifesto and radical changes will be brought in the education system within one year of TDP coming back to power, he added.
Lokesh alleged that Jagan's ongoing visit to Delhi is only to save his party MP Avinash Reddy from the charges he had been booked for and Lokesh asked the youth present at the meet whether they could guess now as to who killed Jagan's paternal uncle Vivekananda Reddy.
Formation of poverty-free Andhra Pradesh is the dream of Chandrababu, said Lokesh. “Micro unit clusters will be set up in all the 175 Assembly segments in the State and reverse migration will be taken up soon after the TDP is back in power,” he added.
The youth, present in the meeting, also brought to the notice of the TDP leader that the colleges, in the name of fees, were charging heavy amounts. They also said that the colleges do not provide a fee-reimbursement facility. Though we have done our PhD we have to migrate to other states for employment, conveyed the youth.
