Jana Sena leader to gift Goddess Durga saree to Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan, who has recently offered a saree to Goddess Durga at the Indrakeeladri temple in Vijayawada, will be receiving the same as a present from one of his party leaders

VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, who offered a saree to Goddess Durga at the Kanaka Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada while performing a special puja to his campaign vehicle Varahi in the last month, will in all likelihood be receiving the same as a present from one of his party leaders.
As per tradition, the temple authorities, after receiving the silk robes as offering to the presiding deity will either return them to those who presented or send them to the temple saree counter. However, as the saree has generated huge demand, they decided to return it to Pawan Kalyan.
Against this backdrop, Pawan Kalyan ordered Jana sena leaders to acquire the saree on payment of its actual cost. Jana Sena Party State Secretary Ganta Swaroopa Devi bought the saree for the same price.
Stating that the saree presented to the deity would bring luck and success, Swaroopa Devi said that she would gift it to no one else but her leader Pawan Kalyan himself.
