Jenda meeting: Pawan Kalyan goes ballistic on Jagan, while Chandrababu Naidu keeps attack low-key

TADEPALLIGUDEM: Sounding the poll bugle for the ensuing elections in Andhra Pradesh at the ‘Telugu Jana Vijayaketana Jenda Sabha’ here on Wednesday, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu soft-pedalled attack on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, whereas Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan went ballistic with verbal fireworks and declared war against YS Jagan.

The actor-turned-politician explained to his cadre that he needed the experience and grassroot level cadre of the TDP to make a mark in the elections. “You have defeated me in two places in the last elections. I was pained but I returned with twice the energy to do something for my home state,” he said.

Urging the Kapu community leaders to support his endeavours, he said that 24 seats for the JSP would make a big difference. “The supporters of YS Jagan stay with him in good or bad. But why you are questioning every move I make,” he said. He said that the JSP as a young party would require a seasoned politician like Nara Chandrababu Naidu who walked out ramrod straight even after the claymore mine blast at Alipiri.

Giving the example of King Bali and Lord Vishnu in the Vamana avatar, Pawan Kalyan said that even three feet of Jana Sena Party would be enough to bury the YSRCP alive. “I am the 108 ambulance, a ‘Rakhee’ for the women, the national flag, a tsunami, and Vamana’s feet that will defeat the YSRCP,” he said.

Deploring YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for targeting his personal life, he wondered why YS Jagan always referred to his fourth wife. “I am married thrice and divorced twice, from where this fourth wife came, I don’t know. Are you my fourth wife Jagan?” he said.

He said that he always addressed YS Bharathi as madam. He said that he had tons of sensational information about YS Jagan and could release it if he wanted.

Calling upon the cadre of the TDP and the JSP to elect the alliance candidates and Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister one more time, he said that he named the meeting ‘Jenda’ to use the stick to teach a lesson or two for the YSRCP booth capturing machinery if the situation warranted.

“Alliance should win, Jagan should go. During the last five years, only five people out of the five-crore population benefitted. YS Jagan, Peddireddy, Sajjala, Mithun Reddy and YV Subba Reddy. This is a class war. Five people are robbing the State. They call me lonely, but they took away the single JSP MLA that I had,” he pointed out.

Praising his brother Chiranjeevi for teaching him how to earn his bread, he said Chandrababu Naidu built a HITEC city that taught people how to earn. “For employment, one must submit their conduct certificate. But for people like YS Jagan, no one asks for a conduct certificate despite his criminal and corrupt background,” he said, calling upon his supporters to elect alliance candidates.

Elections crucial, put up united fight: Chandrababu Naidu

Calling upon the cadre and leaders of both parties to shun egos and work together in the elections, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the alliance was not for him or Pawan Kalyan. “The alliance is for the sake of the people of AP, farmers, for youth and to get rid of YSRCP. It is an alliance people wanted for the reconstruction of AP,” Naidu said.

Recalling the bifurcation of the State, he said that the State was left to fend for itself in 2014. He said Pawan Kalyan volunteered to support the TDP-BJP alliance. Naidu said that he took up the development of the residual State with a 2029 vision, designed Amaravati to match Hyderabad, and established 11 educational universities and institutions.

In contrast, the ‘psycho’ Government started by demolishing the ‘Praja Vedika’ adjacent to his official residence. “The feudalist and factionist Government scrapped Anna canteens, stopped water supply to the universities established in Amaravti region,” he said. Comparing YS Jagan to a psycho killer he said that caste won't develop a State. Naidu said that YS Jagan cheated the State with his false promises.

“What happened to special category status and total prohibition? In Kuppam, the Chief Minister enacted a drama of releasing water with a cinema setting. By the next morning, there is no water in the canal. People of Kuppam are ready to elect me with one lakh majority this time, “he said.

Terming the TDP-JSP combine as a super hit winning team, he said that the YSRCP was in disarray after the combine announced its first list. “The next list and combined manifesto will be released soon. No one can stop this victory. Candidates were selected based on an opinion poll from a sample of 1.3 cr. Now Jagan might change candidates one more time,” Naidu said. He declared that in addition to six guarantees, there would be separate declarations for BCs STs, minorities, women, and employees.
