Lokesh to restart Yuvagalam padayatra, takes stock of situation from New Delhi
On Sunday, Lokesh held a teleconference from New Delhi with key leaders and discussed the latest situation in the State following the arrest of his father
NEW DELHI: Telugu Desam Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh has decided to continue his walkathon ‘Yuvagalam’ which he stopped at Podalada of Razole in East Godavari district on September 9, 2023, and rushed to meet his father and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu who was arrested at Nandyal.
On Sunday, Lokesh held a teleconference from New Delhi with key leaders and discussed the latest situation in the State following the arrest of his father. While thanking the people who came in support of Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh exuded confidence no amount of false cases against the former CM could tarnish his image.
However, he expressed displeasure over the stern action of the Government in suppressing the voices of the people who came out to protest the arrest and the incarceration of Chandrababu Naidu in Rajamahendravaram Central Prison.
Lokesh decided to continue his padayatra from the same spot where he left it, hopefully from next week. However, the party did not announce a date for the restart of the yatra yet. Meanwhile, in New Delhi, Lokesh continued his discussions with the Supreme Court lawyer team on ways to secure bail for Chandrababu Naidu.
It was decided that the party must take up programmes to reach out to people and supporters in door-to-door mode to explain the political vendetta behind the arrest of Naidu and also continue the legal fight in Amaravati and in New Delhi.
